Our Founder, Carrie Deane was delighted to be asked to speak at the 100 Things Experience earlier this year and as part of the event we hosted the first Northern Beaches Rough Threads. The 100 Things Experience delegates were invited to volunteer at the event and share in the magic that is Rough Threads.
A fantastic day ensued with the famous Andy Berry or Viva Hair Salon providing over 40 haircuts in 3 short hours.
Having an impact comes in so many ways and it is not always just with the communities we seek to support. Jenny and Malcolm Wells and their son Harry, a Victorian family that had a similar passion for helping their community heard Carrie speak and decided to launch their own charity. The Foundation, ‘Who Cares, We Do’ helps those in the community who are doing it tough. We are so happy that the Rough Threads message is stretching even further and empowering others to take action in their own backyards.http://www.hcwa.com.au/about-our-firm/philanthropy-who-cares-we-do/
